Karl Jaeger owns two auto service centers--Killian Hill Service Center in Lilburn, and Medlock Gulf in Decatur. After seeing the phenomenal effect advertising on Kudzu has had on the Killian Hill location over five years, he didn't hesitate to advertise Medlock Gulf on Kudzu as well.
"Prospects who find us on Kudzu call us already 90% sold, so this saves us a great deal of time," Jaeger explained. "We see these customers more like referrals from friends, which are the best type of new customer you can have because they already trust you."
Jaeger sees extraordinary value in these high-quality customers over their lifespan with his service center.
"Kudzu provides me with an unbelievable return on investment," he said. "It costs me about $75-$100 for each new customer, and that customer's average lifespan with me is about seven years. During that time, they spend a good deal of money servicing their car, plus they refer our services to a number of their friends and family members."
Jaeger actually dropped calendar advertising and some forms of coupon advertising as a result of the success he has with advertising his business on Kudzu, which is up 30% even in a down economy. Jaeger expects his Medlock Gulf results with Kudzu to match the Killian Hill results within the next 12-18 months.
